Early Intervention providers working in Utah are
required to have a Baby Watch Early Intervention credential. Each credential granted
from September 2002 forward will have an issue date, and a five-year renewal date.
Credentials issued before this date will also need to be renewed five years from
the date of issue. The purpose of the credential renewal is to document the provider's
efforts to keep their knowledge and skills current in the field of Early Intervention.
The credential renewal will be based on a point system.
One hundred renewal points are needed within
a 5-year period. During the phase in period the following exceptions are allowed:

Personnel not currently employed with Baby Watch
Inactive providers must send all evidence of
acceptable activities with their signed verification and application to the
Baby Watch CSPD office.
