Public Participation, Comments on Utah's Application for
Baby Watch Early Intervention Program Federal Funding
The Utah Department of Health offers an opportunity for review of the 2012 Annual Application for funds under Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The application is available from February 1 to March 31, 2012. Public comment is invited from February 6 to March 6, 2012.
This application for funds to the United States Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs, includes the required assurances and the budget for the federal funds. The amounts listed in the budget are based upon the current year FFY 2011 allocation since the Office of Special Education Programs has yet to announce the anticipated award amounts for FFY 2012. The application and referenced Interagency Agreement document may be viewed at www.utahbabywatch.org under For EI Providers: What's New. A copy of the application will also be sent to each early intervention program contracted through the Utah Department of Health as well as the Utah Parent Center. Those agencies will be asked to make the plan available.
Interested citizens are invited to comment on the application. Written, oral, or emailed comments may be submitted no later than March 6, 2012 to:
